Okie, if you're a sinner, then you're not a Saint. I don't want to honor anyone that isn't better than you, and if you become a Saint in this life, I will gladly honor you, and if you had some special Mark of GOD's intervention in your life, perhaps I'll see that as redounding to the Glory of JESUS. Your rationale makes no sense - if Saints have special Charismas, then the SOURCE of the Charismata no longer has value? Why do protestants add so many odd preconditions even to the roots of things?

Christin, why does GOD use Angels for anything? No one trusts in the Saints as the SOURCE, but, while it is possible for a person to develop a stupid imbalance based on ignorance about the Catholic Faith they should be living by, no right-minded Catholic looks to any but GOD, but simply acknowledges the Testimony of precedents for GOD's Faithfulness in the past, by employong the brotherly Intercession of Saints.

God, there's so many....are you doing homework or something? You keep asking about Hispanics and catholic influence and stuff....
They have a saint for everything....
Santa Maria, San Pedro, San Juan....
I admit, I don't know all the details, I'm not catholic. But if you need anything, why pray to God, when apparently he's appointed a saint over that section of human lives and you can just pray to that saint for help in that specific matter???

Probably has something to do with the cultures they had before the missionaries came- it was incorporated a little into how they practice Christianity. There's nothing wrong with it, they tend to be more symbolic than other forms of Christianity.
