Consider this:

All physical laws can be simplified to “If A then B”. If you have a certain stimuli (A), then the laws of physics require you to get a predetermined result (B). However, if supernatural beings exist and can interfere with these laws then the equation becomes “If A+G then C”. If a supernatural being G interferes with the law, you no longer have A, you have A+G and you cannot expect to get B. This would be the definition of a miracle.- a supernatural being interfering with physical laws to change the result.

Now consider yourself. This is what you have to decide. Are you simply a complex set of physical laws that give a predetermined response to specific stimuli? In other words, do you have the power to choose your own responses or are they predetermined? If you believe that all your actions are predetermined, then you are nothing. You have no soul. You might as well be a car that honks it horn whenever somebody pushes the button on the steering wheel. If on the other hand you believe that you do have the power to choose, that your responses to certain stimuli are not predetermined, then you have a soul. But then this would fit the definition above of a supernatural being interfering with physical laws to change the result. In other word, every time you make a choice and determine your own actions, you are creating miracle.

If you exist as a supernatural being, then there is no reason other supernatural beings cannot exist. Either we all exist or there is nothing. The question is not only do you believe in God, but also do you believe in yourself?

i think you are correct.i feel sorry for grown men and women who still believe that there is an invisible man that lives in the sky with magical powers who cares what each and every person does at every moment of every day.
religion has been abused since day 1.it has caused more blood shed and violence than any subject in world history.thats fact.
if all you SO CALLED christians would actually practice what they preach then that would be a great thing.90%of church goers in the world have never made it past the first 5 pages of the bible.they would be in utter shock when they realised that there sunday preacher only reads to them the fuzzy warm parts of the bible.not about how their god has ordered tens of thousands of babies, women, animals etc murdered.babies torn from the bellies of women and what not.i can not and would not worship such a being even if there was one.which of course, there is not.
to rasputin:if i can make choices then i have a soul??your anology came very close to sounding intelligent.but it is horribly flawed.for 1 quick starter, how can we have free will if god has already planned every move we do?this is only 1 of thousands of flawed logic with christianity.the entire religion is a paradox.

What I think is, You most likely watched some program on tv or the computer, and motivated or influenced by what was said and based your conclusion about Gods existence by A theory that only a few have brought together, this is bound to happen, their are those people who will not believe anymore because of what a few people said, then theyll hear somethin inspirational about God then believe again, and basicly the cycle goes back and forth, so after the video you watched you decided to post your question because what you saw made sense to you at the time, but your probably unsure what you believe. but I really dont know im not your nor am I God nor am I your judge so peace be with you bro.

Religion is just something Man made up to control people, in my opinion. The only way you're denied enternity with God is if you deny him and don't believe him and don't except Jesus into your heart. Hell is just a metaphor. And I feel sorry for those people who answered that question who said mean things. They don't know what you're thinking and your'e just curious about other people's views and there's no harm in a debate. I myself like a good debate. It makes me sick to my stomach when I see people answer with such bitterness. And I don't know if the Church uses hell as a way to make people come to Church and get money. Man is just going off of traditions that have been around for thousands of years. Unfortunately, most people tend to be followers. You gotta follow your own path and be true to yourself before you can be true to God. You can't be true to God if you're not true to yourself. :)

It may be true that some religions are not honest, but the bible certainly is your roadmap to a spiritually bond to have eternity. I would not want to find out that I was wrong. It states that if you deny GOD he will also deny you. To take the lords name in vain means not believing in our wonderful creator. Just think about the miracle of birth. There's nothing to fear but fear itself. Try talking and praying more and ask him to come into your heart and see if you feel different. Once you study his word the fear will fade and joy will replace it with peace and everlasting life.

Control us to do what exactly. If you are referring to losing one's individuality well I would suppose that would be left to the one doing the following. What is it we should fear. How do you see this as a means of control. Before one can except the notions of a belief they first must believe there is something to believe in.How do you see not being a part of religion makes you any less controlled then anyone in religion.Any time you stop or prevent yourself from doing something that you want to do, because of alternative notions you have given control of yourself to another.Example you want to rob a bank, but do not because you fear being caught and placed in prison at that point you gave your own control over to the governing laws.Lame example I know but I am sure you get the point.Fear of consequence comes at the cost of lose of control. You may argue you are in control of yourself.Though this is a rouse because what you have to decide when thinking of control goes back to the fears that have been dictated to you.You may be in control of yourself though this does not mean you do everything you want because it is not allowed by others.Take a look at V.T.This man was in control he formed a plan and then executed it accordingly. No one controlled him at that point. Not exactly true.Simply put he allowed what he perceived as a down grading to influence himself.By giving others power and control over him he felt the need to vindicate himself.

I agree with your belief on religion, but God certainly exists. Religion is a creation of man, but God created man, and everything else. The idea that the universe just randomly appeared out of nothing is too ridiculous to fathom.

no longer one know scripture recognized by the Catholic Church is fake. no longer one such be conscious contradicts any organic element. anyone who thinks there is this sort of contradiction is examining the two the scripture or the scientific information incorrectly. between the justifications human beings make blunders in erroneously questioning scripture contradicts technological information is they do no longer examine scripture interior the main outstanding context, or with the main outstanding element-of-view. plenty sacred scripture is written allegorically, as an occasion, and whether it somewhat is examine as though it grew to become right into a biology text fabric, it somewhat is only about guaranteed to be understood wrongly. in addition, a biology or a chemistry text fabric ought to no longer be examine as though it grew to become into e book of grammar, lest it somewhat is understood wrongly. i'm Roman Catholic. Peace be with you. EDIT: i think of it somewhat is unreasonable of you to accuse faith or the sciences of mendacity. inspite of the reality that some religious practitioners lie, and a few scientists lie, you need to be certain willful deceptive motive so as fairly to accuse anyone of mendacity. One specific mistake you seem to make is which you seem to signify that via fact the human suggestions is powerful, it hence might nicely be relied upon to get each and everything maximum outstanding. You did no longer say that explicitly, yet you seem presuming that. I agree that the human suggestions is powerful, whether it surely isn't infinitely powerful. The human suggestions is constrained, yet God is all-powerful. The limitless can no longer, by definition, be totally understood by the finite. God has no criminal accountability to extra healthful into the constrained area of any mere human suggestions. Peace be with you.

I don't know if there's a God or not but I think religion just keeps people in line and teaches us all morals. I do believe that things like "Hell" is in religion to create fear so us humans can act in a civilized manner. If they have to put fear to have us behave, then they have to do that.

Could you imagine if there weren't any religious morals to keep us humans all in line? We'd all be in chaos!
