Rob G--I agree 100%. Allen Bestwick was the best, but they stuck him on pit road; as for current guys in the booth, gotta go with DW.

It would really depend on the times. Allen Bestwick, Chris Economaki and Benny Parsons all are deserving. I would also like to add Eli Gold. He has called Nascar as well as the Indy and always seemed to know what he was talking about. Also Eli didn't always tow the politcal line of the day.

There were several good announcers back in the day such as Chris Economaki, Bob Jenkins, and Benny Parsons. I think the best was Bud Lindemann. D W isn't too bad. but I wish that they hadn't switched Alan Bestwick to pit road.

I really loved bestwick, I like DW, he brings a better outlook, he does go over all the drivers, even though sometimes he hangs out with one too long...he is the best they have right now. Let's just be glad its not Mikey...you'd never hear about the race...

I don't like DW all that much. I think Dale Jarrett has been doing a really good job with the Busch races. MUCH better than Rusty Wallace.
I have to agree with Allen Bestwick being one of the good ones.

Darrell Waltrip is the best there ever was, is, or ever will be. He brings humor an valuable insight to the broadcasts, plus a little taste of what NASCAR was in the old days. I would like to see Dick Bergren in the booth someday though, instead of in the pits

I really like Mike Joy, and BP when he was doing it. But Joy has been around Nascar forever and he knows everything about the sport. Plus he explains things and he talks enough but not too much, everything is well thought out. Plus he does other things that involve cars like the Barrett-Jackson Auctions, which he commentates on all the cars. Trust me he knows his stuff. Best announcer out there in my opinion

i always liked B.P... maybe it was his personality that made him so good in the booth as well as out but i did like to hear him call the races.. and mike joy i will agree knows his stuff.. as for dw and larry mac i am tired of them.. i usually turn down the volume on the tv when the rage starts so i dont have to hear that stupid bogitty crap he and larry mac are always saying something stupid..for the few bush races rusty called this year he wasnt bad.. he just doesnt really have excitement in his voice to me..i hate to say it but dale jarret is alot better in the booth than he is on the track and i dont mind listening to some of his insight during the bush races the past couple weeks..

I like all the FOX broadcasters, they make the race fun to listen to as well as watch, I'm not looking forward to the races being broadcast on ESPN, Marty Reid is the worst commentator I have ever heard.
