1) Use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week. Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is the best.
2) Apply a light conditioner only to the ends of your hair.
3) Apply witch hazel to your scalp w/ a cotton pad every other day.

This won't work for the "Dirty" aspect, but to keep hair from looking as oily- I use baby powder. just shake it near your roots and brush through. If you have darker hair, use bumble and bumble's hair powder- does the same thing but isn't easy to see in dark hair.
Aveda makes a product called light elements reviving mist, which you can spray oin hair and blow dry a little to make it look cleaner. it's sort of a "febreeze" for hair to use between washings to freshen up.

If ur blond, try this: A lil bit of talcum/baby powder. Massage it into your scalp and brush it into your hair. It should soak up all excess oil. If ur not blond, try this anyway but use very little because the white powder will look like dandruff. It shouldnt show at all in blond hair.

donot use any conditioners unless it's to the end's only, try to get a good shampoo such as redken for oily hair, it is really good it doesn't have alot of oils in it, and watch the styling products you use also, try to read the ingredients on them if there is alot of oils in it, don't use, the redken is really good though and so is the matrix for oily hair, good luck hope you resolve your problem soon!!

Try Stila Hair Refresher. You can get it at sepora.com
I don't wash my hair everyday and I add this powder to the roots and it absorbs all the oil, and smells really good.
