It does not happen every time you shave, but it usually happens the first several times and then becomes less noticeable as you get used to shaving "down there." The itching is really caused by the hair regrowth. There are shaving gels specifically for shaving that area, as well as topical lotions and creams to apply there after shaving which will minimize razor burn, bumps, and ingrown hairs. Also, it is best to trim the hair first, then shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it. Use a good razor and replace the razor often! Also, it helps to soak in a warm water bath before shaving there because that softens the hair making it easier to shave.

For best results with shaving, it's important to:
1.) Exfoliate- this will remove excess skin cells from the area which could cause itchy ingrown hairs.
2.) Use a new razor- dull razors just won't cut it. (no pun intended.)
3.) Shave in the direction of the hair growth- this will prevent nicks and razor burn.
Follow these three steps and you'll be bump-free and itch-free next time. :-)

This will always happen when you shave. You probably didn't shave with the hair. If you dint shave with that hair it will cause razor bumps. It also could be the hair growing back. Use a anti itch cream but EXTERNAL use only:)

You will have better results if you use a women's electric shaver. The hairs are stiff and prickly when they grow if you use a razor. You should go to the store and buy a tube of hydrocortisone cream. Hydrocortisone cream will prevent your skin from itching and burning.

first off honey..it's not gross.it's apart of life...
yes those things happen..the first couple of days are always itchy and redness...........what I do is mousterize immediatly after the shower, and for the next couple of days...also put on some baby powder before going out..and try not to wear underwear that would adgitate the skin..wait a couple of days after shaving, and stay away from jean material for the first couple of days.....
