You should never put anything in your body that is expired. Over time the ingrediants can interact and become something entirely different... (like milk becomes cheese!). Don't ever put anything into your body that is expired especially pharmacuticals, because it can be dangerous! Buy some new laxatives, they aren't expensive.

Laxatives are fine for occasional constipation, but should never be taken on a regular basis. The reason for this is that the bowel can become dependent on laxatives, and not function well without them. Instead, get plenty of exercise, eat foods with a high fiber content, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water, and you should stay regular. Good luck!

Overdue laxatives are not that good. Let me explain. THe chemicals in them can become less useful, and may even have a reverse effect. The stool will stay in your system longer. The point is, throw your pills out when they are due.

THEY CAN BE VERY HARMFUL. FIRST OF ALL, IT CAN CAUSE YOU TO LOSE TOO MANY ELECTROLYTES (LITTLE CHEMICALS THAT HELP YOUR BODY AND HEART FUNCTION CORRECTLY). ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCE OR DEFICIENCY CAN ACTUALLY BE FATAL. SECOND YOU CAN BECOME TOTALLY RELIANT ON LAXATIVES SO THAT YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO PASS STOOL WITHOUT THEM. HAVE YOU SEEN A DOCTOR? (IF YOU ARE DOING THE LAXATIVES DUE TO SEVERE CONSTIPATION). IF IT IS A WEIGHT LOSS ATTEMPT PLEASE STOP. YOU VERY WELL MAY DIE FROM THIS AND IT REALLY DOES NOT HELP LOSS OF BODY WEIGHT IT ONLY GETS RID OF THE WEIGHT OF ANY STOOL IN YOUR BOWEL. AGAIN SEE A DOCTOR IF YOU MAY HAVE AN EATING DISORDER OR COMPULSIVE NEED TO USE LAXATIVES. SOMETIMES THERE ARE DISEASE CONDITIONS CAUSING CONSTIPATION. THIS IS ANOTHER REASON TO CONSULT A DR IF YOU ARE CHRONICALLY CONSTIPATED.
