im not sure how that works out there in cali. you need to ask an attorney who handles family cases. i think if he signs them over to you he will never be aloud to have anything to do with the child ever and you would be souly responsible for that child in every way. i think its something like that

I don't think they can just do it without anyone esles knowledge. I'm sure it's quite a fight in court if the mother wants child support. Some women don't give up that easily. They feel the men should still be held somewhat responsible for making the baby, even if it means JUST a check. I always think it's sad when someone is WILLING to give up rights to their child when they want nothing to do with them. But I hope they always think twice before they do it. Giving up their parental right is doing just that, no rights at all.....the child is no longer theirs, something they might just regret in the future....then it could be too late

No it is not that easy. Well in most places it is not.

you do not just sign a note saying I don't want this kid any more. Even if the woman agrees that he is nolonger a part of the family that does not take him out of the responsibility of his child.

If tghe mother does have the resourses to care for the child on her own then yes they can agree to part and not have anything to do with each other. This does not release him from responsibility if needed until the child is 18 and older if going to school.

As they say, if you do not want to pay then do not play.

No, he can't give up his parental rights unless both parents agree. Sounds like he's just trying to get out of paying and that won't fly, especially in Cali.

Is he just trying to get out of paying child support? I don't think that will work if that is the case.
