As the others have said, you need to adjust your brightness. There should be a control on you monitor or, if you have a laptop, you should be able to find a function key to do this. Usually the brightness control has a symbol that looks like a sun.
If you are having problems understanding how to adjust the monitor, type the name of your monitor into a search engine along with "brightness". That should bring up some information for you.
If you are still having problems, provide us with more information (the name of your monitor and the model number which will be located on the back of the monitor).

Go to computer store like staples and buy a screen it looks like you are wearing sun glasses it fits the screen of your computer and does not heart you Eyes.

the buttons on the moniter should do the trick because you can find out which one sets the lighting
but of course i could only help you that because i don't know about your computer
