If you want to cheat and use a texturizing kit just know that it could really mess your hair up by making it too straight or possibly make your hair fall out at an early age. If you use it right the results should be instant and it cost no more than $4 but the waves aren't going to look exactly the same as it would if you took the time to brush and get your waves spinnin the natural way. IT IS ALSO NOT PERMANENT!! You can find an s-curl texturizing kit in just about any store in the beauty section.
Wave grease/pomades do not give you waves. The only thing that will make your hair wave up naturally is brushing a lot. A wave is just a laid down curl so when you brush you change the texture of your hair and you train it to grow down. Pomades just help to make your waves look better by weighing down your hair. Believe me. I used to have really nappy bad hair but now im spinnin like crazy and it's all due to brushing my hair 45-60 minutes a day. If you want your waves to spin around your whole head and have them connected so that they look like circles brush starting from the crown making your way towards the hairline. The sides should be brushed in a slant. Using moisturizers also helps. Be sure to put a doo-rag on after putting in products and before you sleep to protect your pattern. There are ALOT of waving methods and products out there and you will find the very best of them on this site....http://360waves.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3875

First, before u use any pomade(its gives your hair healthy look, and helps hold down your hair),lets start by getting the waves. Second, you dont necessary need pomades or any products to get waves, all you need is a good brush,(hard=fast wave progress &deepness, medium, or soft=for connection of waves) depending on your hair texture. I have coarse hair so to move it I use a hard brush.Well whatever works for you. Next all you do is constantly brush your hair, and use water known as the h2o method, meaning get a spray bottle and spray your hair damp and brush until dry, and repeat this throughout the day. This is good for beginning the waving procress. Also you can moisturize brush, putting in a moisturizer such as( Carrot creme, olive creme, or motion pink lotion) and constantly brushing. Brush a least an hour a day, and durag or wave cap up to train your hair to lay down, for about a couple of week and you will begin to see ripples, (S) shapes forming, because waves are nothing but laided down curls in your hair. Remember you dont get waves in one day, and the more u brush the better results you get. Also wolf your hair meaning, grow your hair out for about 4-6 weeks, while constantly brushing your hair. You can get trims, every two weeks. when you can't manage it anymore you can get a cut, tell the barber to go with the grain, in the direction you brush which is the top(straight to the front), back(straight down), and sides(diagnol towards to the cheeks). Thats pretty much it.
