I am stunned by the ignorant answers of the "Christians" above me. What an ignorant lot you are! Every single religion has its extremists, and these poor kids are just the tools of the power mad. In the end it has nothing to do with god or satan or any other superbeing, its about human power and human control. Are these brainwashed kids any different from the so-called "god fearing" soldiers who rape, torture, and kill their prisoners? Anyone remember what happened in that Baghdad prison? There are plenty of reports of Allied soldiers abusing their power because their superiors have brainwashed them into thinking of the enemy as non-human. You all sicken me. All hypocrites.

Yes, I can picture an all-powerful being who would want us to use cruel, destructive methods against each other. But this, of course, is not compatible with Christianity, never mind what abortion clinic bombers might say.
What I can't picture is a group of people who are told by their leader (who admits to hearing disembodied voices) that they can make walls fall down just by walking around them seven times, and the people actually believing it.

Since you referenced Satan, I assume you're Christian. It's worth pointing out that the Christian Bible contains an order from God to slaughter babies.
For the record, I think both points of view are wrong. But I think it's important to remember that every religion has its crazies who take the religion the wrong way.

I can picture god applauding such an action. However I am not assuming an abrahamic god so the god I pictured was H.P. Lovecraft's elder god. Shub-Niggurath wouldn't care.

No, I cannot picture that. But I can see Him calling out to those same people in hopes of a change of heart based on a belief in the work Jesus did for them on the cross. God does not wish hell on anyone, even you.
