yes they can but why would you want them to do that and add to pet overpopulation . sorry i foster unwanted dogs and I have a new one to take care of every week and then there are some I cant find homes for at all . Please rethink that issue.

Yes as they have all said, any male dog will mate or at least try to mate with any breed, the male dogs aren't fussy.
It would be easier to have the male dog operated on, females are more expensive.
Don't forget if anything goes wrong when the female has pups your up for more expense - cesareans on a female dog are at least $1200 and the risk of loosing your dog, and small dogs are more susceptible to having trouble, so get you male dog done for about $120 or separate them for the 3 week period she comes on, and that is every 6 months.

Like what has been said yes they can but if you did not know the answer then you are way not qualified to be a breeder. Now I am not saying you can't just saying this is something I beleive is only for experts that put the time and education into doing correctly. I know tons about dogs and even I know enough to not start breeding dogs, wait till the dogs are mature and have them fixed. Good luck with your pups

If the Peek is a female and the Chi is a male.
It is a size issue. The peeks are bigger than Chi's and a female Chi can not deliver a larger pup than normal for her.Just curious?
Why mix the two breeds? Breeding is a science. Be careful, you don't want to harm the fur kids you love so much.

yes but it's really not a good idea. you should have both of them spayed/nuetered or at least one. there is not need for mutt puppies in this world and dog breeding should only be done by professionals who do not need to get on the computer and ask if an 8lb dog can mate with a 6lb dog. they would already know that. so leave it to the profeesionals please.

Ummmm, yes. Dog's aren't picky. They don't check AKC papers before they hump. 2 pounds difference is not enough to stop them either. maybe 100 pounds, but not 2.
Please don't let them breed though, get them both fixed and don't add to the thousands of dogs that get put to sleep EVERYDAY!
