I say the student should do it. My wife says it's ok for the mom to do it for the student.

I see no problem with the mom doing the grad announcements.

I totally agree! I guess I am old school. Is the mom or the kid graduating?

If is is Mom's graduation, by all means she should add res the announcements. If not it is the students responsibility. After all it is the students accomplishment.

My mom helped me do my high school graduation announcments. She did the outside envelope and I did the inside envelopes. Etiquette does not specify who does it just how it is done. HTH

The whole point is that the graduate is inviting the people due to growing up. Having Mom do it invalidates the meaning.

Why not do it by computer, much faster and easier, then you don't have to worry about it....BUT....if you want that personalized touch, I agree and say the student should do it...much more personal that way. Congratulations to your son or daughter!!
