The best way to do Aliyah is by the Jewish Agency. You need nothing except being jewish.

No,But it would be best to call your local shul to let them know that you would like to make aliyah. You would have support. It would also be best to make a shul know because you can have a Torah reading and/or a gomel reading before you leave. And when i left to go to Israel to be a citizen under law of return(in law of return you have to live in Israel for 3 years) i had financial help as well like a fund to pay for my ticket. So it would be better to let a shul know because you would be surprised how supportive a synagogue would be.

You don't have to belong to any schul. Most of the IDF is not religious. Don't expect much help from Israel if you are not orthodox. If you can pay your own way and support yourself there and are Jewish, you can do it.

Two things for you.

1: No

2: If you are that unsure of yourself - best not go. They've got enough shlemiels in Israel already, thank you. Stay home with mum. Drink soup.
