You are very wise to have the ability to recognize your doctor's stupidity at age 16. I'll bet a lot of other authority figures are stupid as well, huh?

There are nutritionists you know...the easiest way to loose weight is to eat healthy and exercise and drink a lot of water. The hardest thing for many is saying No to food ....it's just to tempting. I would say a nutrionists and do you have a friend that maybe you can work out with? It helps to have someone there with you. To help you a bit....I do the tuna diet on weekends....eat nothing but tuna 6 small meals a day for 2-3 days and it will help you loose a couple pounds. Don't do it for more than 3 days though because it does not have the proteins and blah blah that you need your basically keeping some necessesities from your body. Drink all the water you want and you can limit yourself to 2 slices of wheat bread only wheat. If you want best results use no mayonaise but maybe a little mustard. I didn't say it was the tastiest way to loose a couple lbs.

I am not all for DR's.. believe me, but what concerns me about your question is why your Doctor said that. Maybe he just wanted you to not get on the diet kick this early in life, but change some things in your life that would give you the same results... like eating healthy and exercise. You don't need a dr. that is "all for weight loss".. just use common sense.. eating right and getting as much exercise as you can in a day is what ANY doctor would tell you anyway.

Over weight is some thing to watch out for as it could be genetic or by your eating habits.YES you can reduce your weight by regular exercise and a constant watch on your diet preferable VEGETARIAN .You have mentioned your age but not your weight at 16 if you are or above 225 pounds then you have to worry .Any way reduction is good for health and longer life. So if you are serious of weight reduction irrespective of age ,sex and weight then you should follow the regime I recommend strictly and with out fail,I promise you will reduce at the rate of 20 to 25 pounds in a month. Please do refer to an doctor if needed as you might get de hydrated if not carefull.
1) Eat what ever quantity you want but CHEW EACH MORSEL MORE THAN 50 TIMES and ONLY THEN SWALLOW THE FOOD.
2) EAT A NUMBER OF TIMES IN SMALL QUANTITIES OR OFTEN.
3) DRINK WATER 1/2 hour BEFORE ANY MEAL OR 1/2 HOUR AFTER MEALS.ONLY
By doing so you not only eat less but also help the body get rid of the unwanted fat in the body.
This is a proven Method for all OBEASE persons ,Yes do keep an watch on your fat intake to reduce the time of weight reduction,It is also recomended to do some phycical exersice such as running / jogging or fast walking to burn the fat in your body.Do take a steam bath or an suna to help clear the skin cells to release the sweat / unhealthy oils from the body,Immediately after which you should take a fresh cold water shower bath so that there is rush of blood into the system for better circulation and which helps in the reduction in weight
REMEMBER TO CHEW THE FOOD WELL AT LEAST FOR 50 TIMES BEFORE SWALLOWING .wishing you all the best in fast reduction.

What do you need a doctor for? It's all up to YOU. I guarantee, if you eat less, eat healthier (no junk/fast food/sugar) and exercise more....you WILL lose weight. That is exactly what any doctor is going to tell you.
There. I just saved you a lot of money in wasted doctor's office visits. LOL Seriously.

Run! I was 14 and over 200lbs! I just ran alot! of miles a week, now im 16 and in perfect shape. took me about a yr. just run after school and barely eat dinner just a little, barely eat lunch and barely eat brkfast, have 1 snack if you want. Thats what I did, 6 months later I was in great shape. Loosing weight by some people say it isnt healthy to do, just blow them off eat less and run!! ------------DONT do 6 small meals it sucks! doesn't work for heavy people because oviously big people like to eat and during the 6 meal they tend to eat regualr size meals not small.

Why would you call your doctor "stupid?" I don't see MD behind your name! Your doctor went to school for YEARS to earn MD! Obviously, he knows what he's talking about!
If you don't like your weight then eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly.

Who has more knowledge of eating and being healthy-you who are overtly influenced by the media and your peers, or a doctor who spent years studying from reliable sources? A doctor isn't supposed to be 'all for weight loss' and doctor is supposed to be all for health. If he knows that you are fine, you are fine.

You are not going to find a doctor who is "all for weight loss". Maybe Dr. Nick Riviera. Is your doctor stupid perhaps because he doesn't want to help you starve yourself?

rent the movie "The Machinist" look @ Christian Bale. (the guy who played Batman in Batman Begins)
he went from 183lbs to 119lbs by eating one 6oz can of tuna, & 1 red apple a day. nothing else
it is not the healthiest diet, but i bet the pounds will just fall off after week 2.
but remember your Physician went to school for many years to get as stupid as he is. your young yet, so stay in school & maybe you too will one day be a stupid Doctor
good luck
