traffic SUCKS. everybody drives at least 20 miles over the posted speed limit. Base housing is PPV. Off base housing.. well it took us three weeks to find something, and we ended up settling on an apartment, because we couldn't find a home or Townhouse.

Baltimore is dirty, economically depressed, and a crime haven. DC is having it's own problems with lots of day time shootings.

The base itself is okay. decent commissary and Exchange.

I can't speak to the base directly, but that area is one of my favorite parts of the country. There are lots of things to do just outside the post.
DC is just about 11/2 hours from there and Baltimore harbor has a great night life scene going on.
I hope you enjoy it.
I hope someone can drop you some of post related info you are looking for.
Good Luck and that's for your service.

Don't know anything about the base.. but the area is pretty nice. Mild winters, decent summers and with DC/Baltimore there will always be something going on or something to do.

Traffic sucks though.

You're gonna love this. I was assigned there in 1968 when I got home from Vietnam and it was about the busiest place I ever saw. They have everything withing reach but that whole Baltimore-Washington corridor is, has been, and always will be expensive. God Bless you for your service

Well you got a pretty good idea, so I'll just say Thank You for your service, and wish you and your family many years of peace and happiness. Again, I thank you for protecting mine.
