If the world was created, than there must have been a Creator. If there was a Creator, than maybe He has some rules(like thou shall nots). Since people rather sin than follow God's rules, they deny He exists.

Anyone else agree with me?

We don't believe it because there isn't a shred of evidence that supports it.

Don't agree at all.

People who don't believe in the Biblical account of creaion do not believe simply because it is contrary to the evidence which can be seen, felt and measured.

This SHOULD be more of a problem for believers than unbelievers, because it causes one to question the Biblical account. Believers tend to ignore the evidence though, or discount it as inaccurate, and this is where the non-believers look at believers with incredulity or a lack of respect. To continue to believe something in the face of contrary evidence seems simply bizarre.

In the end, believers tend to look to unbelievers as trying to find a reason to ignore scripture, but unbelievers are simply looking for evidence that believers wish to ignore.

Who's right and who's wrong? Does it matter?

1) There is no evidence that the world was created. There is plenty of evidence that it came about through physical laws.

2) By your logic, if there was a creator, he must have been created. And so on.

3) Most people in jail are religious. There goes your 'not following god's rules' idea.

Okay, think about this ...

If people who don't believe in biblical creation only feel that way because they don't want to follow rules, then why are any of us atheists or non-christians here on Y!A right now? Why aren't we out murdering people? Why aren't we out stealing a bigger and better computer? Why aren't we caught up having sex with every person possible all at the same time?

Your logic doesn't work, because atheists aren't any more or any less likely to commit crime, according to statistics. If this is really the case, all of us atheists should either be on death row or looking at life in prison because we just didn't want to follow rules.

Since this ISN'T the case, then maybe you have to admit that some of us have logically decided that we don't believe in any god, or at least don't believe in your concept of god ... or your concept of creation.

Evolutionists don't want to look beyond their understanding of science that God gave mankind.

Scientists who call themselves "creation scientists" are professionals, typically with advanced degrees from major universities, who are generally involved in the same types of work as the average scientist. The difference is that creation scientists have a "world-view", or "model" for their science which is based on the belief that an intelligent designer ("God") exists who created our universe and the natural things in it. The creation events were one-time events and are not taking place today. A large subset of creation scientists could be called "Biblical creationists", who take the first eleven chapters of the Bible to be real history, including the creation of all things in six 24-hour days, the existence of Adam and Eve as the first man and woman, the unnatural introduction of "death" into the perfect creation because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and the occurence of a world-wide flood (Noah's flood) which destroyed most life and greatly affected the processes operating on the earth. Most creation scientists believe that the earth is "young" (on the order of ten thousand years), but this is a secondary issue. Biblical creationists believe that the Bible and true science are in full harmony with each other - there is no need to "check your brain at the door" when entering a church.
A major goal of creation science is to point out the weakness of evolutionary theory, because basically there are only two alternatives for how we got here, and if naturalistic processes are incapable of the task, then special creation must be the correct answer. On the positive side, creation scientists are developing alternative models and theories in many areas to help our understanding of how the universe works. It should be noted that much of day to day scientific activity is not heavily influenced by either evolutionary or creation assumptions, but much scientific energy has been wasted over the last century in the search for evolutionary evidences and experimental proofs, which have been unsuccessful so far and will continue to be. How much further might we be in some areas of scientific understanding if a model of special creation had been the working hypothesis?

And you're not a Muslim because you would rather sin and worship humans like that Jesus person right? And because Allah's rules are just too darn hard for you.

You haven't really given this much thought have you?

no, i don't agree because a large amount of the people that sin falls in the category of christians believe it or not. They know that there is a God but sinning is just an act of rebellion.
i have to admit, as a christian myself i find sin to be quite pleasureful and so does every one else whether they want to admit it or not. it is hard to let go of things you are use to doing when you weren't saved. i still have afew problems with that myself.
for true christians sinning lets us want to get closer to God. Think of it as a parent child relationship. when a child who truly loves his parents disobeys them, they run to them begging forgiveness which when recieved lets the child know how much his parents love him and makes him not want to disobey them again.

Oh jeez. This is just being intellectually cowardly.

"You don't want to believe because you would rather be sinful."
Yeah. I can't let belief in the book of Genesis spoil my love for eating babies.
Get a clue.

I deny that your god exists for two reasons now.
1. If people like you are the best your god has in terms of proving his existence, he's pretty incompetent.
2. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OR PROOF THAT HE EXISTS, and a poorly-written, contradictory creation myth isn't helping his case, either.

Oh yes, lets go with your rude presumption, that MUST be it.

Maybe some people don't believe in the bible stuff because they...get ready for it...DON'T BELIEVE IT. End of story. That's it. Not complicated. There are many different religions, beliefs, and views in the world. Sorry, but yours is not automatically the default.

I don't believe in the bible creation story because to me it sounds silly and ridiculously unbelievable, and I don't believe in your god, so there is no reason I'd believe what your book says.

I get tired of people thinking that non-believers dont believe cause all they want to do it sin.
The only sin here is questions like these.

No. It is much simpler. The world (reality) is not compatible with a literal reading of Genesis, no matter how many lies are used to try to make the story literal.
