DLH tried an Sugar Ray Leonard technique called shoe shining or window washing by throwing a lot punches landing few and hope the judges give points for being aggressive two of the judges saw it right he only landed 20% of 532 punches. He was tired after the 3rd round and got out boxed after that. To say DLH won by two point is ridiculous. He is at then end of his career in which the big fights lately he lost and most people thought Sweet Pea beat him and so did Quartey.

No, I think he's in perfect shape. He did slow down in the last three rounds but he didn't look tired or exhausted. It's just that Floyd began to find his range especially with his jab and that befuddled De la Hoya a bit. But it wasn't enough for him to win the fight. Being the challenger, Mayweather should be the aggressor, but as you've pointed out, it was the other way around. At most, the fight should've been a draw.

It's partially a sign of him being past his prime. I noticed when he stopped throwing his jab, he was starting to move his arms like they were tired. He was backing off, dropping his arms and shaking them to try to bring life back into them. In the later parts of the fight there were many times when he had Floyd on the ropes, but he just sat in front of him without throwing any punches. It's pretty commonly held that when fighters reach their mid thirties, their bodies can't do what they used to do. Also, in my opinion, Oscar didn't look very fast through the entire fight. It wasn't a great fight for Oscar, and he still almost beat him.

No, Oscar was in amazingly great shape. Floyd is just in even better shape. I thought Oscar did an incredible job against someone with superior hand and foot speed. In between rounds when he was sitting in the corner I could tell he was dicouraged by Floyd's quickness. I mean, Floyd could go in for a hit and step out all night. That's got to be frustrating. That game in itself can tire out any boxer. But I admire Oscar's heart, the way he kept pursuing Floyd. Floyd fought conservatively just like he did against Baldomir which is what you expect from a boxer who weighs less and doesn't hit as hard.

he did slow down but at this point in his career some of it has to do with age. when you get older you tire easier and you naturally get stiff and such.
i still think he should have one the fight. in my opinion he DID win the fight. and look at it like this...mayweather jr is in his prime...de la hoya is a little past his prime...
so mayweather can be beat. no matter what who says.

Not really but then again thats how Oscars always been. He tires. I didn't like how team Mayweather was counting on that and i also didn't like how that came true.

i think oscar was in great condition. i believe he lost more his will than his stamina. he stopped using his jab and was looking more frustrated as the fight wore on because he wasn't landing his shots much, especially his power shot. mayweather was just too quick, elusive, and too accurate for him. if i were to describe the fight, "it wasn't worth the 54.95 dollars plus tax."
