no- it will build muscle which will make them look bigger since ther is gona be a layer of fat on top of your "brand new" muscle.
cardio is the only way to lose weight and we cant choose which body parts.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

squats are a good work out as they work one of the largest muscles in the body the glutus maximus, your bottom...lol but like everything diet and a more aerobic exercise will cut down on the fat and make your legs smaller, fat will go but if keep it up will build muscle also. start off with lighter weight and do a few sets of ten, see how your legs are after that if you get soreness that meant you worked the leg but if really sore then cut down on weight until it goes and just keep up the work outs about 3 times a week as you need time for you to recover. all the best.

Well, there's no such thing as spot reduction. When you lose fat, you lose it from your entire body. Squats ARE excellent for toning your buns and thighs, though (glutes, quads, and hamstrings). If you're a beginner, start with light weights (5 lbs in each hand) or no weights at all, stand with legs shoulder width apart, roll your shoulders back so you have good posture, and sit back as if sitting in a chair. Do 3 sets at 12-15 reps each.

Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce bodyfat. If anything, squats may actually increase the weight of your legs by building muscle. What you have to do is reduce your overall bodyfat in order to lose weight in the legs.

Doing squats are a great exercise. On the reverse of what I mentioned before, building muscle will contribute to bodyfat loss if your diet is in order.

Yes, squats can help. There's an easy routine you can do that will help quickly. (keep in mind though, as your doing these squats, you're building muscle, and as you build muscle, you burn fat, so there will be a point when you're calves and thighs will begin to look bigger but more muscular.)

You'll need 8 quarters. Line all 8 quarters up in a row straight out infront of you about 18 inches apart. Step up to the first quarter on the floor.

Squat down, pick it up, squat down lay it down, squat down pick it up.

While the first quarter is in your hand, walk up beside the second quarter. Squat down and lay down the first quarter so you now have 2 quarters on the floor. Squat down pick one up, squat down pick the other up.

While you now have 2 quarters in your hand, step up to the 3rd quarter. Squat down lay one down, squat down, lay down the other. Squat down pick one up, squat down pick another up, squat down pick the 3rd one up.

Now you'll have 3 quarters in your hand and you'll move up to the 4th, and repeat the sequence until you've done all 8 quarters.

You'll be doing great if you can walk the next day. Don't take breaks, up and down up and down up and down, and do full squats, no touching the floor.

When you feel the intensity at the highest peak, stop. Also you should only do 3 to 4 times a week, plus you wold actually gain weight because you are going to build a nice muscles. Muscles are heavier than fat.

Plan active dates along with your hubby, such as bowling or perhaps golfing, instead of dinner and a movie.
