find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

#1- Stop drinking soda and juices. It contains too much sugar. Drink at least 4-8 16 oz bottles of purified water.
#2-No McDonalds,Burger King..No fast food.
#3- Eat lots of veggies--Green ones like collard greens,Spinach. Lots of fiber is what it contains and it will help with her digestive system, thus eliminatin g waste that is unneeded from her body, causing her to weigh less!!
#4- Don't starve yourself!! Eat 3 meals a day of healthy foods! No potato chips, candy bars, hard candy, milkshakes, ice cream..yep, french fries,...--instead eat an apple, some almonds(sorry no chocolate covered ones), organic cookies or a smoothie that YOU make at home. OH!!, NO FRIED FOODS.
#5-Rollerblade, jog, walk --for at least an hr a day. Or go swimming with a friend. Exercise is the key to losing weight. iIt is hard, but you need to stay focused.
#5-Write a food diary! What every single thing you eat, WRITE IT DOWN.
If she does this, she should see results quickly. But she should accept her body and be happy who she is. We cant all end up looking like Beyonce or Kate Moss. Most of all, tell your friend you are happy who she is

why are you asking and not her maybe you have a problem with her weight and not her any way if im wrong then sorry but she should drink lots of water and fruit and walk walk or swiming if its available but a 14 year old should not be conserned about this unless her doctor is for health reason a 14 yr old has more things to deal with than pressures like that to many people worry about this issue with kids let them be kids while they can you grow up to fast and then have adult issues to deal with don't worry about that one at this age
