Hi Frankly Frank. The Antichrist is Satan. But first we need to read some passages from the Bible to understand. God tells us in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15:

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."

God is speaking about these false apostles who will look to the world like a True Believer or an Apostle of Christ (verse 13) As Satan is transformed into an angel of light. These are the many false Apostles today who want to destroy the true church of believers. God confirms who the Antichrist is in 1 John 4:3:

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

Many people try to predict who the Antichrist will be. But God tells us in the Bible the Antichrist was present when the Bible was being written.

The dictator in Iran would like to be the antichrist. He is sufficiently infused with his own sense of religious infallibility to be a perfect tool of evil. He probably fantasizes of killing millions of Christians, Jews, Hindus and any other non-believers that he can get his hands (or nukes) on. Then he could go after the Sunnis (or Shiites whatever he isn't) and still feel like he was doing God's work. He would have to be Satan's number one pick in this year's evil draft.

Given that the Yankees just signed Clemens, who knows, maybe it is George Steinbrenner after all.

Hello, Frankly...: The Bible says He has been with us all along, yet he himself must come. Confusing? Yes, a little.

Until you realize that Satan was a liar and murderer from the beginning, so he has been influencing people all along.

But II Thessalonians 2:3, 4 says: "Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

This does not apply to Bill Gates, Hillary, etc. But someone actually claiming to be God. The Reformers, like Luther applied those texts to the Papacy, but if you read the first verses, (2:9) "[Even Antichrist], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders..." There is no one that meets this description, but this Antichrist will claim to be God and work miracles.

Note this point in Revelation 12:12: "Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

This will be Satan himself, glowing, radiating, deceiving the very elect. Yes, Antichrist has been with us throughout history, but Satan must come and deceive the inhabitants of the earth, and this will not be a chrismatic human, but a supernatural being claiming to be God.

It is he who they are talking about when they say that the ole abomination that causes desolation will be standing where he ought not (jerusalem temple) exalting himself over everything claiming to to be God / Jesus. Take a second look at the Revelation of St. John. The Antichrist will pretend to be a Christian. And will deceive many before his true identity is revealed. Does this sound like Hillary Clinton or Bill Gates to you? Name a world leader who wears Christianity like a cheap suit, then starts multiple wars killing thousands of innocent men, women, and children. And you'll find your Antichrist.
