What does the picture of 3 crosses what does that mean?

I know that Jesus was on one of them but can someone tell me what the other 2 are for, I forgot.

2 criminals I believe they were thieves. One cursed Jesus. The other asked Jesus to forgive his sins and allow him to go with him to paradise (heaven) and Jesus said yes.
