It is the easiest.

Every device you are connecting has one of its wires attached to one of the supply wires and has its other wire attached to the other supply wire.

If the devices have a black wire attach that to the black supply wire and then attach the other (probably white) wire from each device to the other supply wire (probably white also).

Let's say that you have a battery and three light bulbs. If you wire the circuit such that a wire goes from the battery to one bulb, then the next, then the next and back to the battery, it would be a series circuit. A series is one thing after another (like TV shows).

If a wire goes from one pole of the battery to one side of each of the three bulbs and a second wire goes from the other pole of the battery to the other side of each bulb, then it would be a parallel circuit. If you draw the circuit, you will have two wires running parallel to one another with the electrical components connected between.
