find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hi! I started working with a personal trainer just 3 weeks ago and have lost 4% body fat and 4 inches off my mid-section and hips. I've only dropped a few pounds, but that's because I'm building muscle which is heavier than fat. The important thing is that I've lost one pants size. I work out with my trainer twice a week, but I also do 3 sessions of aerobic activity per week that get my heart rate up to 80 % of maximum for at least 30 minutes. My strength workouts consist of weight training exercises in sets of 3 with no rest between. That means I do 3 different exercises for different body parts one after the other. That way, each muscle group gets to rest, but I keep my heart rate up the whole time. I'm usually drenched with sweat and breathing really hard by the time I'm done! To give me energy for my workout, I eat a snack before that consists of complex carbohydrates. I found that fruit made me nauseated, probably from the acid. But Wheat Thins or toast work well. After the workout, I eat a snack with lots of lean protein like yogurt or a protein bar. In general, I try to eat a balanced diet that's heavy on the fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains. Common sense says to avoid the excess sugar, fat, and salt, but I usually treat myself to something naughty every few days so I don't feel deprived. :-)
