Hi.Don't by a Theater in a Box .The quality is poor compared to individual items from different manufacturers. To answer your question i would need to have more information. What is your budget. How big is the room you intend to use. do you want High Definition TV.or a Projector and Screen.Do you want Floor standing Speakers or Bookshelf.Speakers from different manufacturers all sound different and everyone has a preference they like. The speakers listed bellow have a bright clear sound with very good tight bass. They are one of the best available. British speakers have a more neutral sound and are smooth sounding without excessive brightness which you may prefer.
Anyway i will make a few sugestions to see what you think.
Surround Sound Amplifier......NAD T773 A/V Receiver
Speakers.....Klipsch Synergy F3 (FRONT)
Klipsch Synergy SC1 (Center)
Klipsch SS1 Surround (rear)
Klipsch Synergy KSW10 Powered Subwoofer.
Ithink it would be advisable to delay the purchase of a DVD player until we know when BLU-RAY or HD DVD wins the format war for the new standard for high definition players.
