my spouse piped up immediately - THEN WHERE THE HELL DO THEY GO?

10 points to the last 10 revocations of the Catholic Church to denounce dogma and doctines that have been "eronious" or errant

All those in limbo (mostly unbaptized babies and "good" heathens) were given a free pass.

I prefer the ones involving abortion. Long ago and far away, until you felt the baby move inside you (a sign that the soul had "arrived") there was no problem with having an abortion

I think it's hilarious that people have no idea what the present declaration regarding limbo meant, and what the true status of the theological construct had always been, ever since Thomas Aquinas proposed it, some 600 years ago.

I challenge you or anyone to come up with even one actual change in the official doctrine of the Catholic Church ... ever!

The teaching on Limbo never enjoyed any higher position than that of a theological opinion. It was popular for many years but was never ever dogma or doctine

>>so who else thought it hilarious when "limbo" was denounced?<<

When was Limbo "denounced"? I have a copy of "The Hope of Salvation for Infants Who Die Without Being Baptized" right in front of me. It says Limbo "remains a possible theological opinion" (#41). You can order your own copy at:

I look forward to when the Pope's denounced. I find more truth in comic books reading them in fiction, then what I hear about the Pope as he dares attempt to speak one word of truth...

...The sooner he's denounced, and get's a real job flipping burgers, the better.

I thought it was odd that it took them so long to say denounce it? Did they really need to say something at this point?
