Newborns don't walk. There is a stepping reflex, which is normal in an infant, but this doesn't mean they are ready to walk. This is where if you hold an infant upright and its feet are touching a surface they will lift and drop their feet.
Walking usually comes after crawling and anywhere from 10 months to 16 months is quite normal.

Babies start walking and holding onto things about 7 months. Many start from about 9 months to about a year, others take a little longer. Never rush them nor hold them back, they wil walk when they are ready and no sooner. Most start saying words about 18 months and a few before, At 2 most can talk very well and at 3 look out what you say they will repeat every thing, especially those 4 letter words and that can be embarressing.

newborns should never walk, even with assistance, it can cause bowing of the legs, they will walk when they are ready and every child and situation is different. Boys are slower than girls usually and if they have older siblings they will usually walk sooner to be able to keep up. Anywhere from 9 months ( earliest ) to 16 months. But even these times can be off, some even walk sooner or later. But most fall in this time frame. Don't push them, they need to do it at their own pace. My oldest walked at 12 months, my middle walked a little earlier, my youngest walked at 9 months.

Kind of rushing the walking a bit.. My daughter was 9 months when she started cruising the furniture, and the day before her 1st birthday started walking using nothing.. Most doctors say between the ages of 9-18 months is considered normal for babies to begin walking...

I have 6 boys and they all started walking a different times from 10 months to 13months. They walk when they're ready and not before. Some struggle to walk for ages and then manage it and others will seem like they up and walk with no real effort.

About 10-15 months is normal for a child to walk unaided. I think they say if they arent walking my 18 months they will check them over. They 'cruise' where they walk holding the furniture quite a lot younger sometimes- occasionally as early as 8 or 9 months!!!

Babies tend to start walking holding on to objects like a couch or coffee table when their about 9 mos more or less.
I had 2 kids. The first one got up and walked without assistence at 9 mos. the other kid 14 mos old !
It all depends upon the kid!

Newborn babies don't walk. At least not humans. Babies walk normally anywhere from 9-15 months. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later.
