Jesus was a Jew because He believed and used the [Jewish Scriptures]

I have chosen a very tough lesson and I thank you all for your help, and the conclusion I got was that Jesus was trying to show a Prophecy that a king like the Roman kings would rise to rule the Jews, Remember when the guy riding on an *** set up the modern day Israel, Truman rode on the [***] democratic party symbol !

Just trying out my theory, thanks for looking up the references, and all your help. Thanks for helping me with my own agenda!

I do not underestimate Jesus' subtlety, [fine or delicate in meaning or intent; difficult to perceive or understand], Jesus said every jot and tittle has meaning, I do not believe it is petty to study what God has said!

You are correct, Jesus did not call Himself the King of the Jews but Jesus does agree with Pilate when he asks Jesus if He is the King of the Jews. This is repeated in each of the four gospels showing how important these statements are. See Matt 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 18:28-38 really sheds light on this subject (focus on verse 37).

John 18:33-37 Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus, and said to Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" 34 Jesus answered, "Are you saying this on your own initiative, or did others tell you about Me?" 35 Pilate answered, "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You up to me; what have You done?" 36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm." 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

Jesus WAS a Jew. A Hebrew is a descendant of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob (whose name was changed by God to Isarel).
Palestinians and Arabs are descendants of Abraham through Ishmael.

Jesus was a Jew because He believed and used the Jewish Scriptures, He kept the Jewish Law (Torah), He worshiped in the synagogues and in the Temple; He called the Temple "My Father's house."

The supposed fact that Jesus never claimed to be the King of the Jews is countered by the fact that Jesus accepted, and did not refute, those statements by others.

For example, some have said that Jesus never claimed to be God. Yet He accepted the title and even worship from others.
John 20:26-29
And after eight days again His disciples were inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst, and said, "Peace be with you." 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing." 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."

"And when they had crucified Him, they divided His garments among them by casting lots; then they sat down and kept watch over Him there. And over His head they put the charge against Him, which read, "This is Jesus the King of the Jews." (Matthew 27:35-37)

"And they crucified Him, and divided His garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take. And it was the third hour, when they crucified Him. And the inscription of the charge against him read, "The King of the Jews." (Mark 15:24-26)

"And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." And they cast lots to divide His garments. And the people stood by, watching; but the rulers scoffed at Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save himself, if He is The Christ of God, His Chosen One!" The soldiers also mocked Him, coming up and offering Him vinegar, and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save Yourself!" There was also an inscription over Him, "This is the King of the Jews." (Luke 23:34-38 )

"There they crucified Him, and with Him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. Pilate also wrote a title and put it on the cross; it read, "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews." Many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek. The chief priests of the Jews then said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'This man said, I am King of the Jews.'" Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written." (John 19:18-22

Matthew 2
1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

3When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Mark 15:12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

Everything Jesus ever said or did is not written in the Bible. I wish that it was. But it canbe evident within the Bible, that Jesus promised kingly things, such as judgement and authority that no man was used to hearing. Even beyond that, the Jews understood who Jesus said he was, the Son of God, therefore making himself equal to God.

the accusation on which Jesus had been condemned by pilate was his claiming to be the king of the jews. ironically, the “crime” for which Jesus was crucified isn't a crime at all, but an absolutely true statement. not only is Jesus king of the jews, he is the king of all – the king of kings and the lord of lords [check revelation 17:14 and 19:16]. he is king over all the universe and all its inhabitants.

To be more accurate He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16)

Read it carefully!! He is saying he is the King of kings! "If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews;

The Greek form Messias is a transliteration of the Hebrew, Messiah, "the anointed". The word appears only twice of the promised prince (Daniel 9:26; Psalm 2:2); yet, when a name was wanted for the promised one, who was to be at once King and Saviour, it was natural to employ this synonym for the royal title, denoting at the same time the King's royal dignity and His relation to God.

Pilate asked him"Are you then the King of the Jews?" Jesus said "Thou sayest".in other words 'You said it pal'.
The Messiah is the King of the Jews. How many times did He reference Daniel ,by calling Himself "The Son of Man".
Daniel said "I saw in the night vision one like the Son of Man(Messiah),and he came to the Ancient of Days(God the Father)..."
How about when after he healed the man born blind and found him in the temple later and said "Doeth thou believe on the Son of God?" to which the man said "who is he Lord that I may worship him?" Jesus said "It is I that speaketh to you".
