There is no evidence to support that, and none has surfaced in 70 years. You could, I suppose, start an investigation yourself.

Lakehurst is a base used by airships there was nothing there to spy on. The airships the Akron and Macron were built by the German Zeppelin company for the US Navy. Both had crashed by 1937 in anycase the Zeppelin company already had the blueprints for these ships.

no, you've been reading too many conspiracy theories. an investigation in thye early 2000's showed that a spark of static electricity (there had been a storm before the Hindenberg moored, and they actually delayed the landing due to fear of lightning; they obviousy did not wait long enough) ignited the paint on the airship (which proved to be a volatile mixture very similar in composition to modern rocket fuel). The paint and skin go up, the fire reaches the hydrogen tanks, and down goes Hindenberg.

No the Hindenburg had been there many times before as well as the Graf Zeppelin, although the cause still makes one wonder. Not Americans though look else where.
