im trying to write the word pena with the ~ over the letter n .
like to make a differant sound of n .
how do you do this????

hold the ALT button on your keyboard and press the numbers: 1, 6, 4. and then release ALT to get ñ.
If you're in Word, you can go to Insert/Symbol to get a list of symbols. It should be under Latin.
