the EXACT definition of atheism is the absence of FAITH or belief in a Deity or deities, while the definition of religion is the belief in the existence of divinity or a diety. So religion and atheism together is an oxymoron they don't go together.
You have got to be an idiot to think atheism requires faith. the definition of faith is, belief in, devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without LOGICAL PROOF. Atheism is based solely on logical proof, we base our decisions and life on logical proof.
It is logic (as it stands) which points strongly in the direction that there is no god, (which is way more then i can say about Christianity), therefore its not faith but logic that has lead to our disbelief.
I'll admit that we have not proved or disproved the existence of god, and i am not denoting the possibility of a higher power, i choose not to believe in god because it is the direction in to which science and logic is heading, and it has basically been proved through multiple evidence eg. evolution, the age of the earth etc, that the God that the Christians, Muslims an the Jews know, does not exist (and yes they are the same god).
I am a weak athiest which mean i don't belive in god but i still hold a degree of uncertainty which is a logical way of thinking as not everything has been explained yet.Science is a field exploring the uncertain and therefore should hold a degree of uncertainty in its findings as this allows for science to evolve and progress leading to greater understanding. But you Christians are so certain about your faith that you have no room for logic and dismiss it entirely, stagnating your religion, and you continue to follow a illogical and mostly disproved beliefs.

1 - Atheism is one particular stance on one particular issue. It is a lack of faith in a divine being(s). Yes, many Atheists look to things such as science and their own brain power to decide other issues that people usually use religion for, such as morality and epistemology, but that is not part & parcel of Atheism itself.
2 - Religion is usually defined as including some sort of supernatural elements. In this instance, Atheism is not a religion, but could be an element of a religion that does. But, by itself, it is not a religion.
Sorry, but having faith in something and lacking faith in its opposite are not the same thing.

Who stated Atheism is a faith? Atheism isn't a faith. Come wisely...''Atheists are the adult males and girls who don't have self assurance something with out perfect info''. Who disturbing approximately them or their worry or their criteria? First, there is not any atheists right here in india. Atheists are extra in christianity, and interior the western international places. There are as many motives for being an atheist as there are atheists: the line to atheism has a tendency to be very own and person, located upon the concentrated circumstances of a character’s lifestyles, reviews, and attitudes. inspite of the reality that, it somewhat is a threat to describe some commonplace similarities which tend to be common between fairly in basic terms some atheists, tremendously atheists interior the West. this might nicely be a outstanding question; unfortunately, it isn’t relatively elementary to respond to. Many atheists discover their physique of suggestions to disbelief by way of technological information. Over the centuries technological information has come to contemporary motives of sides of our word that have been as quickly as the unusual part of religion. via fact scientific motives have been extra effective than religious or theistic motives, the flair of religion to call for allegiance has weakened. hence, some persons have come to surely reject now no longer only faith, yet in addition concept interior the lifestyles of a god. For them, gods are ineffective as an reason for any function of the universe and grant no longer something nicely worth investigating. have you ever ever heard of 'clever atheists'? it somewhat is a classification utilized by some religious theists to describe a number of those theists who technically experience in a god, whether who behave immorally. the concept is that ethical habit follows immediately from authentic theism, subsequently immoral behavior is an extremely end results of now no longer actual believing. Theists who behave immorally have have been given to truly be atheists, inspite of what they provide concept to.

I don't think many atheists would say "I know absoliutely for certain that...." It's more like "based on this evidence, this is most likely the answer." Religious people, on the other hand, make claims that their beliefs are absolutely true. An Atheists belief about the world is subject to change based on new knowledge. This is a healthy way of viewing the world in my opinion.

Nope. No faith, only the best available evidence. If you produced evidence of your god, you could get me to believe, but the reverse isn't true.

Atheism is a negative claim. Negative claims are not religion. Ergo, atheism is not a religion.
