While he is young, he should be ok on his own. Some puppies pick up crap easier than others. All that was done by the vet is preventative and the shots should be followed up two more times. Parvo is not a fun disease, it's quick, it's highly lethal, and VERY contagious amongst dogs.
If he has diarrhea, give him some cheese, he should go back to normal. If not, it's probably the dog food, at which point I would switch him to something a little easier on the stomach like Eukanuba.
Also, when they get wormed it generally will make them a little sleepy for a day or two, plus their little body is processing a lot of stuff. He'll be back to normal in no time, and you'll wish he was quiet and tired again!!

A puppy should NEVER have vacciantions at the age of 6 weeks. Your vet should know better. He should know that it interfers with natural immunity and can actually make your puppy more suseptible to the very illness the vaccines are suppose to help against. He should also know that the current recommended protocol is not to vacciante under the age of 8-9 weeks. He should also know not to use flea products on a puppy under 8 weeks of age.He also should have advised you taht in most states it is against the law for a puppy to be bought, sold, given away or adopted before it has completed it's 7th week and in some states 8 weeks. The only thing I can see that the vet did right is the deworming.
Also be advised that Science Diet is not a good food either.
I suggest taking this puppy to another vet before he gets sicker.

Could be parvo, but it could also be a vaccine reaction. Your vet should be able to do a parvo snap test in the office to let you know for sure. Parvo causes vomiting and diarrhea- and they are very very sick. It is serious and needs immediate treatment, a vaccine reaction in a small puppy can also be very serious and should be treated properly- make sure that your vet is doing everything he can to get the proper diagnosis and start with the proper medication and treatment. A reaction to flea and tick medication is usually topical on the skin or neurological- but all of the ones that you get from your vet are very safe- eg. frontline, advantage, revolution. I have heard of some bad reactions to advantix and I would not reccomend using that one at all. I am sorry he is feeling so badly and I hope that everything works out ok. Good luck and I hope he is better soon.

As young as your puppy is, my guess it is a vaccination reaction...the vet gave him to many meds at once. My little Tzu went to the vets last year, and she is actually 2 years old. The vet gave her all her meds, and she came down with a very high fever and was very sick. So I called him, and he said that she probably had to many vaccinations at once and gaver her a shot of antibiotic to couneract that, and she was fine the next day. Consult your vet, but my gut feeling is she was over medicated. And by the way, if you ever have the chance to get another puppy, tell the breeder that 6 weeks is way to young. 8 to 10 weeks is best. Best of luck to you and your baby.

In my opinion a puppy less than 8 weeks should never be treated. Call the vet who treated him and find out what you can do. He probablu needs pablum until he's 8 weeks old. You can buy puppy nursing formula at the pet store.
