LOL...I SO feel you!

I met with a trainer at the gym for the first time last week.

I can do push ups fine on my knees but I can barely do then on my toes.

He suggested that I come down on my toes and up on my knees, or visa versa.

Vary your workout. Try for an all-out once a week or once a fortnight, the other days do things like running, walking, and maybe just a few push-ups. On your big day, time yourself to make things more interesting (how many you can do in fifteen minutes for instance).

Keep a journal of your progress in all these things, of your diet, and of how much sleep you get. There could be many factors effecting your progress.

If you can't figure out what it is, you should go to a doctor. There are many illnesses and dietary conditions that can slow you down.

decreasing strength is a sure sign of overtraining or over-reaching.

if you can do less push-ups today than you could previously than you have been overtraining and you need to reevaluate your training program. most likely you have not been getting sufficient recover time between training sessions. this ultimately sends the body into a downward spiral where training will continually decrease until a drastic change is made in the program.

Take time to do push ups EVERYDAY. Start by doing 10-25 the first day, then increase the number of pushups by 10 everyday. If you keep working at it, you will achieve it. Also practice doing sit ups to get you warmed up before doing the push ups (it really helps me). When doing push ups, try to get yourself motivated either by listening to music or rewarding yourself when you are finished. Good luck.

Push united statesart your chest and tricep muscular tissues, it relatively is the place you should be feeling it, no longer your biceps. in case you pick to paintings biceps, attempt curls. you in all probability have vulnerable lower back muscular tissues. carry out a little lat pulldowns, bent over rows and hyperextensions to construct them up.

Just start out with 15 one day and 20 the nect and 25 the next day and keep going. If you cant do it just stay with an amount that you can do and try to increase on your own.

since push-ups focus on the triceps, try strengthening yur triceps alone. bench presses, tricep dips and dumbell exercises (e.g. tricep extensions, tricep kickbacks) will make em stronger. wen they get stronger, push-ups will be easier.
