I charged a family members credit card about 15 grand wihtout his knowldege. I lived in New JErsey. He did not want to be responisble for this charge . HE reported incident to police . I guess it is now conisdered identity theft. THe credit card company refunded teh meony back to card and closed account he never has to pay for it. Now teh police know who made teh unauthorized charges. Meanwhile i moved to europe so i woudnt be questioned cause im assuming i would go to jail for this as i used another persons card to make charges wihtout authorization. Is it ever possible for me to come back into the US? Lets say 10 years from now. And im pretty sure that The police are not goin gto come after me in europe if im not mistaken for a 15 thousand dollar charge that was paid off by credit card insurance company.

The fact that money was restored to your family member's account doesn't mean there was 'no harm done' because it just means you didn't steal it from him, it means you stole it from the Credit Card company.

And most credit card companies are international, so they don't have to go to Europe to get you, they are already there. And they know who you are and what your SS number is.

Regardless of the fact that the credit card company paid off the charge to your family member, you now owe the credit card company 15 grand plus interest. This is more than just identity theft, it is also grand larceny.

How in God's name did you have the money to make it to Europe if you were so desperate that you had to steal a family member's card & rack up $15,000 on his card?
All I have to say is that with family like you......who needs enemies?
Also, remember what goes around, comes around & eventually you will get yours!

Dude, you are a criminal fugitive. The likes of you is one of the reasons credit card fees and interest keep rising. I hope that if and when you return, the justice dept. nails your azz, as they are likely to do.

Contact the bank in question. Ask to speak to a senior fraud investigator and tell them you want to make restitution. They are more interested in getting their money back than they are in seeing you rot in jail....Where you belong.
