In all honesty I don't think world peace will be acheived
very little is possible, and I'm not saying it can't but being realistic I don't see it happening.
no one agrees on things, and we can't seem to be content just living in groups w/ other people who agree because we eventually attack one another (physically, morally or otherwise) for disagreeing. if people would wake up and stop thinking of themselves and their own opinions and faiths as absolute FOR EVERYONE and just realize that differing in opinions should be valued; not looked down upon; that would be a huge step.
it's important in a sense but seeing as it's unrealistic I'd almost have to say no.....it's a good concept to hold onto and keep in mind and consider but even a few individuals not barring that in mind could ruin the concept for everyone else.

It is very important and can be achieved by bring up our children with solid moral character. Too many people relegate this critical responsibility to others rather than do it themselves through example and determined teaching. Only by taking it seriously and doing it ourselves can we teach them that treating others how we want to be treated is more important than making money or gaining power. This is critical to establishing world peace.
This is a worth while endeavor and will achieve good results, but world peace will not be complete until after Christ returns.

World Peace will come when Jesus comes back! Matthew 24, 2nd Thessalonnians 5, 1st Corinthians 15. World Peace under any other means will be a deception..Daniel Chapters 11-12 and Revelation Chapters 21- 22.

I think the only way world peace can be achieved is to eliminate all hormones, cultural diversity, and any form of human interaction in general. The bottom line is, world peace is an antiquated idea that has no realistic chance of ever coming to pass - in the meantime, let's just try to not blow the place up, eh?

The Bible is simple and clear on how Jesus will destroy man's governments and bring peace on earth.
Dan 2:44 And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
2Pe 3:13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.
1Co 15:27 For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.
1Co 15:28 And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

Conflict is one the most fundemental human traits. World Peace is an unobtainable quixotic goal that we have to work for. We can eliminate alot of conflict by trying to work toward peace, but in the end we can get rid of it all. Because humanity is destined for conflict.

Our Blessed Mother Mary during one of Her apparitions stated the only way man can experience peace in the world is through prayer, fasting and doing penance. She stated this in 1917 at Fatima to the three Children. But man does not listen to her call for we have had two world wars and a third in our midst. She has urgently called for mans conversion of heart in many of her messages in Medjugorje
"I have come to tell the world that God is truth; He exists. True happiness and the fullness of life are in Him. I have come here as Queen of peace to tell the world that peace is necessary for the salvation of the world. In God, one finds true joy from which true peace is derived"

It can't. To have world peace, you need to human nature. Greed, desire for power, vengence...even simple conflict of interests or difference of opinions need to just go away.
Can't happen.

It's a simple issue of people coming to terms with their cultural, spiritual & economic differences. Until everyone on the planet accepts other people for who they are instead of what they look like or what they believe in, it's not likely to happen anytime soon.
