When you can't get over things it is an obsession as others have said. However I believe it may be an obsession disorder if this happens all of the time. Some form of OCD most likely.

cause this especially if it was recent and it takes time not to think about it all the time.

it's an anxiety disorder most likely...and there's different types of anxiety disorders. the most COMMON are generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). there's no such thing as an obsession disorder...there's obsessive compulsive disorder which is persistent obsessive thoughts, and it's caused from anxiety.
