My boyfriend and I have been together for about a year. For the past 3 weeks things have hit a rough spot. He works very hard and this is his very busy season. Even so - I feel that lately he doesn't spend any time with me, doesn't reach out for me, kiss me or touch me. Last week I had some some surgery. I didn't know what was going to happen with my boyfriend since I didn't know where we stood when I went in for surgery. When I was leaving the hospital, one of the nurses told me I was lucky to have a man like him... that he was so concerned, kept going to the hospital, kept calling to check on me. He brought me flowers and visited me every day. I was so happy to hear this. I don't know if he just did this because he just cares about me as a person, or if he still loves me. I have a hard time knowing where I stand because he has a hard time talking about our relationship. Any thoughts?

He loves you are he would have tried to distance himself by using your surgery. If he started this only three weeks ago it was probably due to the surgery, not you. Men tend to have problems dealing with situations that they can't control (the surgery) now that its over things will probably get back to normal

He is pretty much doing the right thing, he obviously cares for you, but it doesnt necessarily mean he loves you. It's a good thing that you are not reassuring his love for you only because what he is doing in this moment where you need him not, you are actually thinking about it and being open minded and not trying to fool yourself, the best way to solve this problem is talking to him, you know let him know that if you are not sure where you stand in this relationship than you are leaving him, dont stay around if things are not working, you will just continue wasting your time and emotions on him. You are probably losing out on meeting someone that will love you. Your boyfriend does care about you but from what you are saying not romantically anymore.

Ya I have a thought. You are in a a tough position to tell if he loves you or not. I think that he dose but as a person. If he was your bf for that long then he must love you. But if he loved you, he would have no problem in kissing, touching, or talking to you. I think you should ask him yourself! Thats the truth. Oh and no matter how uncofortable you both get, don't back down!

this gay really loves you cuz if he doesnt love you why should he comes every day to see you and brings flowers whit him.
you have to understand that he is busy this season cuz he works a lot that s why he cant spend much time with you but im sure he ll do when he finishes his work !!!!!!

I believe he still loves you. If this continues try talking to him about it, try and figure out if anythings wrong. I told somebody else to do this, it helped her but i don't know if it will help you.

Clearly he cares a lot about you. Just has a problem talking about feelings. Just talk with him softly and listen a lot.

sounds like he loves you with all his heart...and maybe while you were in surgery he thought what it would be like if he lost..if it was a serious surgery
