I dated my ex for 10 months and over that time i got really close to his mom and his 4 year old sister. After fighting for a long time he told me he doesnt want to see me anymore and that i shouldnt keep in touch with his family. Last night i went to the mall with his mom and sister and he called me today and yelled about how i shouldnt go places with them cause theyre not my family.

Why is he so mad that im still close to his family?
Im not going to stop talking to them cause hes an idiot !!!
But is it wrong that im close with them still ?

Move on. Your next boyfriend won't be too happy with your closeness. Don't antagonize your ex by clinging to his family. His new girlfriend won't like it either.

Yes girl..MOVE ON. Out of respect, you need to leave his family alone. I have only had two boyfriends in my life..my current being my second. His ex-wife (of three years) still goes out of her way to call/visit his family although they have been split for almost a year and a half. They do not have kids together either. Personally, it's in poor taste and you need to move on with your life and allow him to move on with his. I say this because I was with my first boyfriend for 5 years. I got along excellent with his family. But when we broke up, I had to make it politely clear that I all ties must be cut..because it was the right thing to do and out of respect. My boyfriend now obviously woulnd't like it. So in the same manner..I knew my ex's family and was closer to them over 5 years than his ex of 3 years and it killed me to let them go but you just have to because it is the right thing to do and if you don't your ex will just resent you. Like my current boyfriend now- his ex is basically a thorn in his side..a constant reminder of their breakup and her unwillingness to let him be...whether or not her intentions are good..sometimes it is just inappropriate and tacky.

i dont think its wrong. i think that hes mad cause you still cherish the relationship you have between them and cant understand why. he doesn't understand that you form relationships with people who care for you. nothing wrong with that. just remember that you have to respect some space. hang back a little and explain that you mean no harm and that you feel that you would like to still be close to the family even you and him aren't together. love is universal, dont let his words get to you.

he's being completely unreasonable and inconsiderate to your feelings. He's mad b/c he wants to control your life even after you're not together, I can understand if he so chooses not to talk to you- but your relationship with his family; however close, is your choice and theirs' and isn't for him to decide.
It's not wrong at all, in fact I think it's great that you're mature enough to want to keep up relations with them, hope everything works out.

via fact he's their son, and any new gf he gets might have problems together with his family contributors via fact they desire u, will think of approximately ur thoughts, and evaluate to u. so back off. is this so no longer elementary to be certain?!
