Try different categories. You can't get away from them. The whole world is infested with them :D.
I really like the fact that you can do the thumbs up or down thing. That is new for me. You can actually have someones comment hidden.
By the way, have you ever worked in retail? Rudeness up close and personal is much more difficult to deal with.
Most of the people I encounter here are not ill mannered. I have learned to laugh a the ones who are.
Hope to see you around Kimmy

True you should have a question, but on the other hand you did loose points, and those complaining decided to take the time on they're own, no one made them.
And in a way it is a question... in a very special way.
And answering, yes there are a lot of rude people here thinking that if they just answer enough to things they would not have the courage to answer in the same way in real life, they will get loads of points and be happy.
Never mind those. I use yahoo to find out things about the world and myself, and even others.
If you are new here and want to get the best of it, choose subjects you care about, and only answer if you have something to say. You will eventually have a lot of best answers and who knows start to make real questions that interest you.
Good luck and welcome

Haha, yes that is true. Most of the time, it is immature people who probably have few friends and alot of time. Remember, most of the rude answerers you get --don't even read your question. You ask a genuine question in religion, and you get some righteous 7th grader lecturing you about love and forgivness.
I have found that the best way to deal with them, is with a sense of humor. They are sad and pathedic, and want you think they are smart and way cooler than you. Just feel sorry for them. Most of their rude answers and questions end up making them look dumb anyway. I know it seems counter-productive and incredibly funny.
I even add some of them to my contacts so when my brain is fried from giving honest and complete answers-- I can enjoy their lameness and rack up points. Get some popcorn.

Well, there are lots of people that need to get a life. There's always going to be a few bad ones in with the good. If you want to know something, just keep asking.

Believe it or not, it's a lot better then it used to be. I left for a long time because of the nastiness. I ignore the rude ones, they're not worth responding to.

they are probably some of the nicest people youll ever meet. they get it all day long and vent here. you could be the difference between someone killing someone else, or being rude to you. think of it as a public service. there should be a tax deduction in there somewhere.

I agree with you. People can be whoever/whatever they want online. Some will be different on the internet as a way to be what they wish they were in the real world. Remember that when online, there's no way to tell if someone is who they really say they are.

I never thought of them as rude but I'm not afraid to report people who insult others or just go about answering questions with "I don't know" just for two points.

well, youre right, there r many mean people in here, but to be rude, depends on they're situation. i mean, how o you know that they care for theyre feelings a much as you. or maybe they think that you dont mind being insulted or provoked.
although, yahoo has so much people signed in, that some rotten apples must've come in the package, dont you think?
hope it was usefull
