Yes.
The gift of faith as mentioned in I Corinthians chapter 12 is a special divine impartation of faith for the effecting of some specific work, such as regenerating a missing limb, or raising the dead.
It is distinguished from ordinary faith, including faith for regeneration (being born again), or the daily Christian walk of faith, (as it says in Romans 14:23 "whatever is not from faith is sin").
It is also distinguished from faith as a fruit, as listed in Galatians 5:22, and perhaps better rendered "faithfulness" - the same word being used for both in the Greek.
It operates as a supernatural impartation of unshakable confidence that something normally impossible will certainly come to pass.

I agree with lix. There is regular faith that we as believers all have but there is also the gift of Faith, much the same as the gifts of teaching, healing, service, ministry, etc. The unwavering faith that God will do all that He has promised. The belief that what you pray for will happen[in Gods time of course] These are also usually the people who keep others strong in their faith when they start to waver. They believe without a doubt.

'Regular' faith is acceptance of Christ , believing in His word and following His teachings. The gift of faith goes a step further into believing in Him so much that you have absolutely no doubt that He is faithful to His word. An example of this would be a person praying for someone's healing and not just hoping it will happen but expecting it to happen because God heals. If you meet a person with the gift of faith, you will know the difference in their prayers and the signs that follow them.

The NT scriptures are pretty clear that faith itself is a gift from God (Romans).
They also say that faith is not what you say that you believe - you demonstrate your real, living faith by your works (James). This means (IMHO) that if you want to know what you REALLY have faith in - look at how you are acting.
I do not think this means that your faith consists of the works you do - salvation is by faith (and that itself is a gift from God). But our works (actions) give evidence to what we truly believe deep inside.
So I'm not sure there is a difference between the "gift of faith" and "regular faith." If by "regular faith" you mean the faith that I produce inside me, that's definitely not scriptural - what makes you think I can conjure up faith?
"Day-dy-day walking faith" is, to me at its heart, also a gift from God. But I must go to Him to receive it and ask His help to replace the self-faith (pride) with faith in Him. In this way my walk becomes more Christ-like. This is what is described, I think, in Hebrews 11.
Go in peace.

There can be an increase of Faith...
Luk 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. The difference is in measurement of Faith...

Yes; a big difference.
Very few have the gift of faith. It is able to believe for personal (that is the key) miracles & provision, such as was demonstrated by Smith Wigglesworth.
Regular faith is able to draw from the spirit realm into everyday & cause ones' hope to rise above current situations.
Good question!

Faith unto salvation is a gift of God.
You can have faith in yourself, or in another person, but they won't get you to heaven.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Faith is believing in something even though you can't or haven't physically witnessed it. The gift of faith I think, is refering to God giving us the choice whether to have faith in him or not.
