heh - the ideal was a nice one. The implimentation of that was exceedingly faulty. Rape, murder, theft- all in the name of religion, tat was actually used as a cover up for a need to get recently out of work soldiers out of France and England, and to make the rich richer.

I'm never a supporter of a cause that sees other humans as inferior and thus subject to abuses of all kinds because they have a different religion - Then, or today.

The machinings of the apostate catholic church are in no way reflective of the intent of the Lord Jesus Christ. Johnny can't add 2 + 2 and get 4 for a result - quick, let's claim all mathematics are invalid!

Incidentally, as horrendous as the crusades were, you would do well to remember that they were just a misguided attempt to deal with the Muslims in the same fashion as they dealt with the church. This was, essentially, sword for sword. We are seeing the same thing again today - go figure. Jesus did not teach us to do these things.

The Crusades slaughtered masses of innocent people in the name of Jesus.
This is a "reasonable endeavor"?
Think of all the non-Christian peoples who were offended by what was done against them in Jesus' name. Think of the hatred & rejection this caused.

One of the strange stories of the crusades is when they enter a Nunnery in Antioch (turkey), raped the nuns then slit their throats.

Anyone who kills innocent people will be punished, don't ever forget that. No one gets away with even the smallest crime.

The so called children's Crusade resulted in most of the kids becoming slaves to the black people and Arabs

You bring light to people's mind via education, not by the sword.

thats not what the crusades were about. it wasn't about bringing the word of god to people, it was about recapturing a city that wasn't the Christians to begin with.

There is no reason or excuse that can rightly justify the crusades.

That was not their goal, and they did not at all achieve that. Do you really think that this is so. If so, you are deluded. Look up deluded in a dictionary.
