I don't know the circumstances of how you tried to voice your opinion, but yes you do have that right. It just depends on how you go about it I think. I have no problems with anyone of a different orientation, be it sex, religion etc. etc. I just believe that each of us have to live with our own choices and it is noone elses business regardless of what that orientation is about. The citizenship of this country is so diverse that you will offend someone sooner or later.

Sure, you have the right to speak freely. And those who disagree with you also have the right to speak freely. That's what freedom of speech is all about.

If you state your opinion, you should have good arguments ready to defend why you hold that opinion.

Being against homosexuality is sorta like being against Chinese people, or being against dogs.

People who are homosexual do not stand up one day and say "I choose to be homosexual". Its not really a lifestyle choice. It just is. They just are. So why do we torture them by refusing to let them be what they are. Should they spend their lives hiding and ashamed. That's how they treated lepers in the last century. It's not a way to treat anyone.

So let's all just be a little more tolerant of those who are not exactly like us, and the world will be a much pleasanter place.

Although it is not very nice and is pretty ignorant, you are allowed to voice your opinions. Many people will find your attitude attrocious, since we really aren't bothered by other people's private business and understand that people are born the way they are.

You better watch out though....this week they are working on a bill in which speaking out against homosexuals may be considered a hate crime. As for now though, you still have freedom of speech.

There's nothing wrong being against something unless that "something" hurts you, offends you or uses you. Homosexuality is a sexual preference, it would not "touch" you unless if you're sexually molested, raped or harassed.

There's nothing wrong with homosexuality, like there's nothing wrong with heterosexuality. That's why some people thought you're sick because there's nothing with it.

Yes, you have the right to speak but be sure what you're speaking is right!

You have the right to say what you want, (first amendment), of course you don't want to go all out and tell everyone you know. Just beacuse you don't want to offend anyone, but you can if you want. But everyone is very sensitive, and can get very upset on this subject. Homosexuals voice there opinions, so can you.

It's ok to have an opinion, but you shouldn't be shocked when others have something to say about your beliefs and ideas as well.

If you post things that might offend or insult others, in this very public environment, you should be able to deal with the consequences in a mature manner.

We used to have the right of freedom of speech, but it's quickly being replaced by political correctness. Say what you want to as long as nobody is offended by it. How does that work? I am offended by it...& I do speak up about it. By the way, God is offended by homosexuality, as well. 1 Corintians 6:9 "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceved. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals (catamites), nor sodomites (male homosexuals), 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."

Indeed, you may and have expressed yourself in whichever way seems best to you; however you are not protected from the reactions of those people around you. As you are free to express yourself, others are free to ridicule your opinion.

On a personal level, I am heartened to hear that your opinions about homosexuality are being so fervently challenged. I know bigotry will never completely die, but hopefully in face of so much opposition you may review the origins of your sentiments.

Honestly, I don't see how you can be against something that is natural to the individual. It's not a choice. People can't help being gay anymore than they can help what race they are. So yes, it's discrimination. Speaking out against homosexuality is like the same thing as speaking out against black people. Yes, you have the right to free speech and can say whatever you want. But it's discrimination.

You have the right to free speech. So do other people. Personally, I don't like bigotry, whether against Christians, Muslims, Woman, Blacks, or homosexuals.
