I have a black and white tuxedo (not pictured) but I've never called my other kitty a tuxedo cat before. Now I'm not sure what to classify her as. What would YOU classify her as?

She'd be classed as a tabby and white cat. She's very very cute.

"Tuxedo" cats are usually black with a white chest, paws and blaze up the nose.

"Bengal" cats are a specific breed. They're hybrids of Asian Leopard Cats and domestic cats and are usually spotted, rosetted (think like a snow leopard) or "Marbled" rather than "tiger" or "tabby" stripes.

No Bengals are not feral , feral means domestic cats who are living on their own and have gone back to being like wild animals. They are unsocialized to humans, and won't allow humans to handle them. This kitty in the photo being held by a girl is obviously not feral ! and the description of her sounds like a really sweet cat. Actually, there are many cats on Petfinder with breeds misidentified so she might not even be part Bengal. (BTW they're really called just "Bengal" or "Bengal Cat" not "Bengal Tiger Cat" . I think maybe the people offering this cat for adoption used those words to mean that she is a mix of a Bengal cat and a Domestic Shorthair tabby cat with "tiger stripes" . But if they don't have proof that one of her parents was a registered Bengal, she may just be 100% regular tabby DSH rather than a Bengal mix . There are DSHs with no wild genes that have spotted tabby coats, but some folks mistakenly think such a cat must be some exotic hybrid. Bengals are also not wild. They were originally created with as a hybrid of domestic cat and Asian Leopard Cat but they've now been around for decades and you can get ones that are many generations from their ALC ancestors. They have coats that look like wild cats and some of them have a wild sounding voice. But they act more like regular cats than wild cats, just very energetic and need a lot of play to work off all that energy. They also are very intelligent cats. many of them are quite talkative. And they seem to bond strongly to their people. so they also need a lot of interaction with you. The answerer saying they are difficult to house and shy may be thinking of some of the "F1" Bengals that are half Asian Leopard Cat. I've met plenty of friendly Bengals at TICA cat shows - these would be "F4" and higher which means they had an ALC great-great-grandparent or even more distant. Most places do not require a special license to own a Bengal especially if it is not one of the early generations. You could check to see if there are any local regulations where you are. And you could ask the people who have this kitty what generation her Bengal parent was. If they don't know, then maybe she has not got any Bengal in her anyway. Or even if they do have evidence that one of her parents was a Bengal, she herself is not registered as a Bengal and in this photo she looks like she could be a regular tabby. So if there is some licensing thing you are concerned about , just call her a domestic shorthair. Hope you can give her a home, she looks and sounds like a nice cat.

Tuxedo cats are called that because of their glossy black coats, enhanced with white bibs and white feet.

Bi-colored cats may include tuxedos but they are only one color plus white.

I would call your pretty kitty a 'silver tabby' or a 'brown tabby'. It's hard to tell from the pix. Or just a 'Tabby Cat with white'

She's definitely not a Bengal, or a Tuxedo, since those are usually black/white.

Perhaps a Tabby bi-colored.

I'd call her a tabby or tiger. Go to www.messybeast.com and click around in there a bit. There's a really good section on cat coloring and markings on that site.
