Or how about the plagues of Egypt? Hmm, I have to look that one up, it's interesting. Though I do remember hearing that various Pharaohs deleted and rewrote their history etc. Let me check it out.

There is some reference to Joseph of Aramathea in in english history around 300-400ad; he was proported to have traveled to glastonbury Tor and planted his staff there, which blossomed into a tree. Totally likely, as a stick can regrow in the right climate (look at the fences that resporuted into trees in Hawaii).

he was also purported to have carried the grail wih him, and left it with the monks on the Tor, and from there it vanished.

But that is all historical legend, not fact.

Which Joseph? If you are talking about the son of Jacob, there is some Egyptian history about him, but they call him a different name. I have seen some work on this long ago, but can not remember the who, what , when where.

He wouldn't be known as Joseph tho, he would be known as Zaphenath-Paneah Genesis 41:45. I don't known if areologist look for that name or for the name Joseph. Its weird how Israel celebratees a festival for years for something that never happen.
