I think they establish secular laws either way. Just look at the efforts to amend the Constitution.

you're proper, and also you're incorrect. For Christianity, we're not tied to any authorities. God's regulation is the regulation of Grace interior the Church. hence, we decrease and recommend secular governments, besides the indisputable fact that the Christian faith does no longer and could no longer set up authorities, and at the same time as that idea replaced into tried, it replaced right into a tragedy ensuing in lack of life and violence. Christianity, in basic terms placed, isn't authorities. Our faith can stand without it. EDIT i imagine you're complicated "the West" with "Christian." The West has rejected Christianity. The custom and governments you word are literally no longer Christian; they are not even religious. The Western human beings now no longer dangle to at least something besides the indisputable fact that the rudiments of Christianity. this is achievable for it back, besides the indisputable fact that the sky seems ever extra bleak. The porn and homosexuality, then, are literally not the products of Christianity than of placed up-Christianity (and Islamic countries have their honest stocks; a lot of webcam women come statistically from there. Hmmm...).

Christians are held to the moral law of God, some of which is expressed in the Ten Commandments.
However Jesus took the Ten Commandments to the next step summarizing them into the two Great Commandments:
+ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
+ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
And teaching things like
+ Everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
+ Everyone is our neighbor including our enemies.
Therefore we have to go much farther than the original recipients of the Ten Commandments ever dreamed.
With love in Christ.
