I meet this girl last night at my friend's house (she's a friend of a friend)...we didn't really talk 1 on 1 except for the initial introduction, but our whole group were just talking and hanging out together...I really like her and would like to get to know her but I don't know how to get the conversation started next time I see her...what should I say? What should I talk about?

In a word, HER. You need to find out her likes and dislikes, what she is interested in, how she spends her time, how she feels about various topics, especially the ones that interest you. Basically you need to find out if you have compatible interests and attitudes. Believe me, no matter HOW beautiful she is, if you have nothing in common, you're better off moving on. OTOH, you might get lucky, and find a perfect match for yourself! But BE HONEST. Both about yourself and your reactions to her answers. You'll both benefit from that.

i think that would be a good idea trying to find out some more about that girl,
once i met a girl who was working at an optician, which was very useful to start a conversation with. i started to talk about the eye experiences and so on...
you can try to find out from you friend (with whose help you met her) about where she works, her hobbies, the places she likes to hang around etc.. ;)
but keep in mind that it's not a good idea to start a male conversation with her, or talk about your former relations

Just say hello and let her know you have thought of her since that night. Ask her out for a one on one night to get to know her better. Ask her about herself things she likes ex. music, hobbies, sports even her family. If she is interested in you as well she will be more than happy to clue you in to some of her personal interest. ask her questions about what she does and what her interests are and really listen. Ask her what she thinks about a current topic. What kind of music she listens to. What some of her favorite movies are. What does she do for fun. Just talk about what comes naturally, but really seem interested.

well it think you just start talking and take it where it goes if she likes you than it wont really matter but she will know who you are. sometime it pay to just be you. i anit dr phil but thats what i would do.it will impress her because she will see you for you.i dont have problem talking to girls that way and i battin 94% lol
