I never heard any of my uncles nor cousins say that tongue twisters helped them. I guess since we usually concentrate harder and often speak slower while saying tongue twisters it could help some stutterers. The Stuttering Foundation was the source of help for my family. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" was the book that they studied and worked through one step at a time and then went back through again and again perfecting each step and their speech became more fluent. Only one also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering. They all overcame their stuttering with the exception of times of extreme stress. The Foundation's web site is www.stutteringhelp.org.

I don't think that's a real treatment for speech problems. It may be part of a whole treatment, but on its own and without a speech pathologist to guide you along in a treatment process I have serious doubts that it will help much.

yea, practicing thinking about what you are going to say can help you think more clearly and know what you are going to say after the next word, therefore somewhat stopping the stutering.
