Not another one....
Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. The word "dinosaur" did not appear until 1841. Years after the Bible was written, and two centuries after King James translated his.
My educated guess is that the men of the Bible reffered to them as dragons. Because all of the ancient men had tales about dragons. So how could each imagine the same thing? I mean these places were isolated by geography and time. How could the Eskimos talk about dragons as well as the Mayans? I would say that they were real and not imagined. And people called the dinosaurs... dragons. Look at the Ica Stones. The people drew circles on the dragons skin and recent discoveries of fossilized dinosaur skin shows circles. Man saw something and it leads me to believe that man and dinosaur co-existed as said in the Bible.

Because according to a strict interpretation of the bible no such creatures ever existed.
The bible is a very good book, with some sound rules and the live of Jesus is an excellent role model for how to live your life, but the bible is not the be all and end all of books, nor is any other similar holy book like the Koran. First you have to remember that the books are not the word of God, but the word of man INSPIRED by God. Therefore they are not perfect, they contain errors and had to fall into the limited understanding of the people who wrote the work. Most strict religious folk ignore this and try to use their holy book as a one to one correspondence in the real world, which makes no sense. It would be like explaining how a television works to Noah. He lacks the basic understanding of the principles to understand the principles that he would need to know to even begin to understand television and how it works. In another words it would be like magic to him, or maybe even a miracle.
Most of the science of Christianity (and I am not talking about Christian Scientists or the Church of Scientology) is based on the science of the time, in Rome, which is based on the science of the ancient Greeks. The Greeks did find dinosaur bones, but they thought that these were the bones of gods or monsters, and didn’t even think of a race of creatures existing before man did. So the scientific error was carried forth into the bible and up to the Renaissance period. If some religious folk had their way modern science would still be based on that of the ancient Greeks making things like computers impossible.
However, the most important reason that the bible and the other holy books don’t mention dinosaurs is that they are a collection of myths, stories, and wishful thinking. They are an attempt by primitive man to explain the fundamental questions of live the universe, where we came from and where we are going. Man has always had a need for this and if you look at the Norse religion, the Greek religion and others you will see different approaches to the same questions. This gave comfort to the masses and so it was incorporated into the teachings of the time and therefore into the religious works of the time.
Today we have science and the scientific method, which handle those questions in a better way. But they still can’t answer the spiritual ones of why we exist and what our purpose is. We believe in science because it is based on principles that can be proven through the scientific method and as a result of theories proposed by man people worked together to make sense of things. Still we have problems like getting Newtonian Physics to reconcile with Quantum Physics. They do not work well with each other and are contrary. This means that our understanding isn’t complete and we need more work in the area. The problem with the holy book of your choice is that they are static and unchanging; they cannot handle new ideas or new thoughts. The scientific method doesn’t have this problem it is a living procedure. The Constitution of the United States is called a living document because it allows for change and modification. There is no way to do this with the holy works so as time passes they are separated from reality more and more. The last time the Bible was modified into a widely accepted form was under King Richard about 1601. That issue turned all the religious figures living in the Middle East into White Europeans, so we can hardly trust that version to be accurate.
This is one of the major problems with organized religion. They cannot handle change; they cannot adapt well and are based on teachings from long dead men that have little to no relevance to the modern world. But, if you try to tell religious folk this they only get angry with you and spout text from their favorite holy book. Life is all about change, nothing stays static for long, not even granite mountains, but they refuse to understand this concept and so are hopelessly locked in the past; an archaic past with a flawed understanding of the world.

actually there are dinosaurs mentioned in the Bible. I encourage you to read the book of Job. It talks about an animal with the tail the size of a tree large tree trunk. Many evolutionists say that it was an elephant, but do elephants have tails that big?

Because fossilized dinosaurs weren't discovered until a long time after the last book of the Bible was written. The people who wrote the Bible, including those inspired by God, couldn't be expected to write something about which they knew nothing.

They are! The word dinosaur wasn't used until that last 200 years, therefore it is not written as dinosaur in the original or King James Language.
The word used in the Bible is Dragon and/or serpent.

Neither are wooly mammoths, armadillos and sharks. Why would they be? The Bible is not a zoology or paleontology text. None of these animals have anything whatsoever to do with the message of salvation, which is the purpose of the Bible. Therefore, what would be the point of mentioning them??

Dinosaurs were extinct 75 million years or so, when man first appeared. Also, the bible was first written for people thousands of years ago, who were so ignorant, we can hardly imagine, so there was no need to bring the subject up.......they wouldn't understand. And they didn't need to understand. It speaks to all people from any time or place. We don't know everything yet, and never will.
