wow I like vivy_fox's. funn.

ok then:
we're at the beach, lying together in a hammock watching the sunrise. we're just sitting, so relaxed and perfectly together. then he carries me back inside to go back to bed (we stayed up all night on the beach). as I'm sleeping, he slips the ring (that has to be perfect-platinum over sterling silver with one very small diamond in the center of a bunch of sapphire petals and emerald leaves so it looks like a flower and the band engraved with vines) so he slips it on my hand and when I wake up, he's kneeling next to the bed with my hand in his and he says that he wants to wake up next to me every morning for the rest of his life. he proposes, I say yes, we cry. yes, WE cry. I want a sensitive guy.

and hey, you did say dream proposal!! lol.

you aren't even gonna say what yours is?

the way that its probably going to work out is just being asked while watching TV or something.

I would love for my man to surprise me with a trip somewhere with a beach, cause I love travelling. It could just be for a week. He would tell me the night before or something like that, and we would just go. And then he would somehow write the words in the sand or using sticks, on our last night. And then as I realize what is happening, I would turn around, and he would be behind me, on one knee with a box open with a ring on it.

I do want to get married on a beach, so whatever beach he proposes to me on, will be the place!

I love dreaming! Ha ha

A nice picnic out in a wide open field. Right by the woods where its cooler and we can watch all the woodland creatures being twitterpated. (watch Bambi for the explanation)

He would feed me fresh bitesize pieces of fruits and nuts. We would be one with nature and lie complete in our bathing suits (you said dream) and just admire what mother nature has planted with all the scents the fill the air with the bees and birds who help float the flowers scents in the air.

He would make a flower halo/bridal hair piece and place it on top of my head and then look lovingly into my eyes and tell me how beautiful I am to him and hold my hand with a flower made ring and ask me to spend the rest of my life with him.

As I said yes he would cry while holding me close to him and i would join in as we have bonded in such a way that only two lovers could. And spend our days, happily ever after.

I have two versions...

1. A public proposal at a Texas Longhorns sporting event (like football, baseball, or basketball)

2. A romantic setting, where he takes the time to surprise me. It can be at dinner in a restaurant, on a nice walk somewhere, as we lie in bed...any time, anywhere.

At 40 I've given up on fairy-tale dreams. I have a child who is nearly grown and a career with which I can support us fairly well. Marriage would be of little to no benefit to me at this stage of my life. However, I would like to meet a man who is truly capable of unconditional love and commitment. But that is possible without a legal paper, jewelry or a lavish party.

I had my dream proposal. Got a huge engagement ring from my man in front of the monkeys at the zoo!

Unexpected. His Idea, not yours. And Sincere. My dream proposal came true and still rings true nearly 10 years later. Fun question.

I just hope I'm so happy that I cry. It might sound weird, but I just want to cry when it happens. You know, like you love them so much and you're so happy that you'll get to spend the rest of your life with them. I don't really care how they ask me though, haven't really thought about that part.

i never thought about it till one day i read my boyfriend's journal (he said i could) and it said in exact detail how he wanted to propose...it was on the coast when the sun was setting, right on the beach, we would be in ankle deep water when he'd go down on one knee and ask me if i'd marry if clumbsy ***...and i'd throw my arms around him and say duh!!...lol its weird i know but its the type of ppl we are...i hope it happens someday tho:(
