Look back through my answers the last few days. I called it almost exactly the way it happened. I said unanimous decision and it was a split... which leads me to ask, what the Hell damn fight was judge Tom Kaczmarek watching? He should be fired. Mayweather masterfully took De La Hoya apart. De La Hoya moves up in weight, gets whooped by Hopkins, then he moves down in weight, fighting a guy who is not even big enough to fight at Jr. Mid... and STILL gets whooped. Why is this guy fighting? Why does De La Hoya have any fans? How could anyone even JOKINGLY say De La Hoya won? How does Tom Kaczmarek get to be a judge because he appartently don't know #&*%? Oh well, it was a fun fight to watch, to all the Mayweather haters, now you are forced to admit he is the best boxer out there right now. The dude talks trash, but it is no longer trash after he proves he can back it up. I hope you are loving it, because I am.

I thought the fight was too close to call and if it would have been a draw I wouldn't have argued with it, the fact that it was a split decision didn't surprise me. The boos were probably because Oscar was the fan favourite and also because the fight didn't live up to the expectation of al that build up. I think he is arrogant and yes he does have a right to be because he is pound for pound the best right now and undefeated and a champion!

Personally, I have always felt Oscar to be overrated. He would have had no chance if he was was around with Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Benitez back in the day. I know he has achieved a lot, but he is popular, mostly because of his clean cut latin good looks. I said that Maywether would win, because he is a bit too slick for Oscar and he proved me right. Having said that, Oscar did outbox Felix Trinidad and would have won the fight, if he did'nt run for the last 3 rounds.

As for the judges yes, but to many NO, He's top billed as the best pound for pound boxer but he's contented with just running and evading he's very disappointing. Everyone expects something what their money worth from him. Better that there where good undercard bouts like that of Boom-boom vs. Medina. It was not dela Hoya whose been robbed its the boxing fans around the world

I somewhat say yes, then no. I kinda saw this fight like Rocky Balboa vs. Mason Dixon. You got a man of speed then de la hoya has somewhat strength and speed. Basically i saw that de la hoya was not getting any points after the rounds they always gave it to mayweather the only reason was is becuase he landed way more punches than de la hoya if de la hoya would have landed more punches i guarantee that he would have won! Mayweather did almost nothing. De la hoya the way i saw it was attacking mayweather more than mayweather attacked him.

Too many gobshite's in boxing. I cannot stand grown men yabbering on about how bloody good they are all the time. It's pathetic and belongs in the playground. Too often these guys lack basic dignity. That's why I like Ricky Hatton. He's a realist, intelligent, humorous and by boxing standards, super-modest.

Got to admit. He is a class act,and in this day and age of hype. He's used it to the full and by putting himself on the frontline. But would he have gotten away with it if he was white?

He absolutely won. Good fight, and Oscar showed heart, but Floyd pretty much dominated the later rounds except for round 12, where Oscar let it hang out. Good fight, but Floyd clearly won.

yes that true.
he's earned the right to do as he pleases. just as Muhhamad Ali once did.
now i am not comparing them by any means just the respect that theyve earned throughout their careers. I am very dissapointed at all the people who wontface the facts that Oscar was beaten. They really need to get over it.

successful? the reason why he's undefeated is because there are any other good fighters anymore. People are losing interest in boxing. other sports are taking place like UFC
