Can anyone answer why a young person gets grey hair??I have a few grey strands and dying the hair is so time consuming,

yeh,I guess,My dad started going grey the same as me (20)
Not the age I want to look old at,surprisly.

Everyone differs in terms of when they may get grey hair, some people can be completely grey as early as 30 others none at all untill they are 50. you're stuck with the old hair dye or growing old gracefully I'm afraid

I would just go with it if you are young it can look really nice. I have a Friend who went grey all over at 17, she dyes her hair every two weeks nightmare.

Hair turns grey when the melanocytes in the hair bulb stop producing melanin. Could be due to stress or hormonal imbalance

I probably am not allowed to say this legally ( well at least I'm promoting their product!) but I have heard that there's going to be a new mascara on the market which is specifically for this purpose. it lasts for about 3 washes & comes in a variety of colours.
until then I think look for hair mascaras on Ebay or department stores.

grey hair in youngs occurs mostly due to stress ..
the stress and lots of worries and thinking causes a lot of biochemical changes in the body, one of these is very complicated to mention here but its end results are decreased melanin (pigment) in the hair .. which will cause grey hair ..
there are other factors .. these are:
genetic factors ..
food (any specific diet - usually poor deit)
disease ..

if you have dark hair they can go grey if anyone in your family went grey early if your stressed.i also heard dying your hair can cause grey hairs,i started going grey at 13 and never dyed my hair till i was 19 and my sister is 19 and cant dye her hair but is nearly almost grey. it just happens

I am completely grey it happens when the colour pigment in your hair dies so if you leave it your hair will do grey over time and you will get to like it the way it is. it will not happen over night.

IF THERE IS ONLY A FEW MIGHT BE BETTER CUTTING THEM OUT . REMEMBER THOUGH THAT GREY HAIR DONT FALL OUT .IT IS CAUSED BY THE HAIRS PIGMENT FAILING AT THE ROOT

i dont know why it happens but dont dye it like the first person said embrace them. if i was in your situation id dye part of my hair grey/ white. i think it wuld look cool. think rouge from xmen
